I was walking from the Druitt St bus stop to work this morning and decided to use the footpath on the Western Distributor instead of my usual goat track through Darling Harbour.
It took me well out of my way but I wouldn’t have met these rainbow lorikeets otherwise.
Just when I thought they might have been ailing or consumptive and unable to fly off the bridge (I know, I know, so then if they were too weak to fly then how did they get onto the bridge? Bundled out of a van? Or maybe they walked up from the Druitt St bus stop too) they flew across to the convention centre, where they hung out with a pretty disreputable looking ibis.
