Hardware: The Definitive SF Works of Chris Foss
This is beautiful. I spent hours as a kid reading Panther editions of Asimov and E E “Doc” Smith with Foss’ artwork on the covers, and his lovingly detailed images of biomorphic, gas-venting spacecraft are the only parts of the reading experience which have stayed with me. Apart from a dreadful torture sequence in one of the later Lensman novels.
Foss illustrated the original edition of The Joy of Sex; how about a follow-up to this volume entitled Software?
