An index to The Illustrated Zuleika Dobson

Max Beerbohm, despite his great gifts as a caricaturist, was genially opposed in principle to illustrated novels, and he never published illustrations to his only novel, Zulekia Dobson. However, he decorated his own copy of the novel with charming drawings, and I’m the happy owner of a copy of the facsimile edition which Yale University Press published in 1985. The only feature this handsome hardback lacks is a list of illustrations, so that one may readily find, for example, his counterfactual caricature of Lord Byron in old age.

So I’ve provided one, appropriately designed to match the format of the original.
